It’s been a difficult time for the law enforcement family. In times of loss and mourning, it’s important to reflect on what truly matters. If you are a person of faith in Christ, perhaps it’s time to have the uncomfortable conversation with your partner(s) about eternity?
As my friend MC Williams (Centurion Law Enforcement Ministry/FCPO) often writes, “You can’t badge your way into heaven.” This powerful statement serves as a reminder that earthly authority doesn’t guarantee salvation. It emphasizes the importance of personal faith and belief.
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” (Romans 10:14)
This verse highlights the necessity of sharing one’s faith. It underscores the idea that belief comes from hearing, and hearing comes from someone preaching.
Let us remember those who have fallen:
May we never forget their sacrifice. Let us also consider the importance of sharing our faith with those around us, especially in professions where life is fragile and eternity is a very real consideration. These uncomfortable conversations can be life-changing.
