In Columbus, Ohio, a mother was shocked to discover an intruder in her home preparing a bath for her two-year-old son. Areica Hill reported waking up to find a woman she didn’t know inside her house, attempting to bathe her child, according to WCMH-TV.
“I’ve never heard of anything like this,” Hill told the news station.
Hill recounted that she woke up to the sound of her dog barking. Upon investigating, she saw a woman, later identified as Elizabeth Hixon, 22, bent over the bathtub with her son inside. Hill immediately intervened, removing the woman from her child. Her boyfriend then restrained Hixon until authorities arrived.
Hixon was arrested and charged with burglary, according to WCMH-TV. She was later released after posting bond in Franklin County Municipal Court.

When reached by phone, Hixon’s mother told the TV station that her daughter had “good intentions”. The specifics of these intentions were not elaborated upon in the report.
